Wow, that is interesting! We don't have kids either, nor do we plan to have any. Have lots of nieces, but highly doubt they would want them.
Yeah, I'm not into kids, crafts, or Martha Stewart like most other women. I do love girly dresses and shoes though!

Something we don't seem to be taken into account here: what if one of us is immortal?
Myself, I have a while yet to decide what to do with my collection. Its weird looking ahead, I feel like I have so much time left yet it will probably pass me by so quickly.
I don't plan on having kids, so can't leave my collection to any kids. hmmm, what would I do with it? Well I suppose if one of the members on here is actually immortal I can give my collection to them, sorted!

Well you can add me to the list as well. Me and my wife don't want any. It is a little strange for so many to be on this board as I think it's like 2% that don't want kids so its kinda rare.

Marriage & kids are the best because you learn your fair share of selflessness.
I wish that I had that experience. I think I'm only being blatantly honest to say that it's like more selfish to remain single, but not like I don't care or do for others kind of selfish.
We hear plenty of testimonies in here about the "Collection" husband vs. wife issue.
I hope you all have a cat or dog at least. My dogs have taught me a lot about selflessness, faithfulness, loyalty, obedience, and unconditional love.
The collection is physical stuff that my physical body cannot keep. So immortality only applies to the me in the body, and taking the collection with me still won't happen. I think having a drink with Prof. Tolkien would be worth a lot more, so I'll leave the stuff behind and go do that instead. 
Oh, and it's good to know we are a closer knit group in age than I had been guessing. For a while there I was feeling rather out of touch at times, now I can be assured I am
