I wouldn't think you will see Harley Quinn, since she is directly tied to the Joker, although character backstories can be changed. You may see a nod to her maybe, at Arkham or something, with her real name. But I wouldnt hold my breath.

I hope not. She'd be useless without the Joker, the Joker shouldn't return, and he especially shouldn't have sidekicks. Not this one.

I agree. The Joker should be left out of the 3rd film. There's no need to bring back the Joker... let some time pass on that one (ie. recast him when there's another reboot in 10 years).

I have enjoyed Nolan's Batman series to a degree, but frankly when it comes down to it? Ultimately I'll be glad to see him and Bale leave the series.

HA! If you thought that was rubbish, try "Batman & Robin."

I feel it's a great a shame that Burton and Keaton walked away from the 3rd movie (both were slated at the time, from what I recall). Ahh, what might've been.

Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is emerging as the dream choice to play The Riddler in the forthcoming Batman 3.

The 29-year-old star is reported to have told producers that he is "interested" in the role, which was last taken by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever.

Batman 3 director Christopher Nolan is well known for working with a trusted team of actors, the most recent member being Gordon-Levitt after his work as Leonardo DiCaprio's fixer Arthur in Inception.

Website FirstShowing.net obtained a casting grid for Batman 3, a document which lays out the roles in the movie and actors available to play them.

The 500 Days of Summer star was listed next to the role of The Riddler as 'interested'.

He would join Christian Bale reprising his role as the caped crusader for the third time after Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Christopher Nolan is working on the script with his brother Jonathan as well as X-Men and Dark Knight screenwriter David S Goyer.

Batman 3 is due to begin filming next year and is set for release July 2012.

Meh. I think he's a great actor but it seems forced. I wish the Riddler wasn't in it at all.

But at least this will hopefully avoid further speculation about JGL taking on a recast of the Joker.

I read he had said that, yes. People also change their minds, say things then do another, or are misquoted. I'll feel safe when we get more information on the movie.

I doubt he will recast the joker. Heath ledger's death hit him really hard and I think he's still struggling to cope with it, i dont blame him really...
