Hey guys, I just joined this forum, but I've been making prop replics for quite some time. Recently I've become hooked on Harry Potter stuff. Anyways, I've almost finished replicating the Polyjuice Potion Page from the Chamber of Secrets and all I have to do is match the appropriate fonts. The fonts in question are quite pricey, so I'm going to need to sell some of these pages to pay for them. My main question is, is there any interest in having an exact replica of the Polyjuice potion page from the 2nd HP movie? It would cost 20$ per page. I can'y provide any pictures yet, as mine isn't finished, but if enough people show interest I'll but the fonts and get to work right away. In the mean time, I'll post a picture from the movie.

I know my wife would probably buy one if it was on the lithograph-style paper (to look aged). :thumbs_up

Hope this helps.

Ed, Curunir just said that. And he also says he's worried.

Ok then... lol... let's not scare off the new blood with our overly peculiar quirks. Be welcoming, folks, be welcoming... :thumbs_up

So, does that mean I can count on one potential buy from your wife? If I have 3 confirmed buyers I'll buy the fonts, but until then I'm hesitant as to whether I'm going to make a profit.

If you made a proper version of it, on some nice archival paper I think you could sell it.

No clue as to whether or not you will turn a large profit. Listing them on eBay for double what it costs you to make it would likely be the best option to gauge profit.

BTW, are you doing anything against a copyright by making this? ;)

Well, if you're so welcoming, why don't you buy Polyjuice Potion Page? ;)

No, but Fuzz080 is. Isn't it his wife who produces polyjuice potion page possibly on lithograph paper?

You're not new. You're 396 posts old! :P

Your long white beard could tell many a story.

This thread is turning into a gong show.

Fuzz080 makes the polyjuice potion page.

Curunir's wife may possibly be interested, provided Fuzz080 can make it on lithograph paper.

ed209 is being a smartass.

Sedhal is being himself.

Rough666 is confused and confusing things further.

Valkrist just wants this whole thing to go away now.

Makes sense?

Anyone else care to put their 2 cents into this mess and turn a derailed thread into small catastrophe?

Fingolfin wants to know why on earth everybody is being so crazy over a simple manner of a book page on lithograph paper.... and also is worried that this is Sedhal's normal self

When I asked my wife this... she said "Well because it might look more like a piece of art. It would be worth spending the $ on."

Yeah well 20 bucks is 20 bucks, if I was an HP fanatic I'd buy it.

Curunir

My wife is the HP nut. Different strokes for diff folks I guess.

Haha well I'm a Harry Potter fan, but a couple of those wands is quite enough $ spent on anything HP for me. Much rather spend my cash on an LOTR product or Gil Hibben or Kit Rae product.

Well, I'm not sure I could do the lithography, but i can print on parchment paper just like in the movie. I can also age it like in the movie if thats what she wants.

Fuzz080, in the future, please be aware of our forum rules before posting threads of this nature. We encourage all new members to familiarize themselves with the rules before posting.

I apologize for not making this clear earlier.

Selling and Trading

1) Moderation
All sell/trade threads are moderated. In the past, people have abused the selling/trading area by becoming members just long enough to sell something and then leaving. Therefore, you must have posted a minimum of 25 posts (relevant posts, not just filler) before you can list items for sale or trade.

2) Contact Information
You must provide us with your actual email address from your internet service provider before posting items for sale. Free email addresses (Hotmail, Gmail, etc.) are not acceptable for this. You must also send a private message to an Administrator with your personal contact information. In the event of a problem, we can then attempt to mediate the situation. This rule applies equally for buyers and sellers.
