View Full Version : An unforgettable event

Yesterday (October 1st, 2004) it happened. You may or may not remember my first ever post here at Ucforums.com, but it was about me having ordered an UE Andúril. Well, now nearly 4 months later Andúril finally arrived at my house. This I consider a near miracle as it not only found its way here in Finland, but also came in near perfect condition.
I couldn't be more happier with this sword. There was a number of things I was afraid of (i.e. the infamous black spot, various rune problems, etc.).
Gladly, I can say to all of you that Andúril arrived without any problems. The spot was golden, the runes were perfectly centered and the blade itself was straight.
Frankly, I don't see any reason why you should not get this sword. It is that amazing. Not a bad first sword, eh?
I will post plenty of pictures in the gallery as soon as I can get the pics in my computer.

I want to thank everybody here at United Cutlery Forums for your support and friendliness.

Thanks, Turgon

Your very lucky that it came after all this time.

Enjoy! :)

Yeah! Four months is quite a wait, but I've recieved things after that time, and it's always worth it. (In fact, I custom ordered a spear in June, and won't expect it for another 6 months yet! :()

Glad you enjoy the sword so much... I'd check out the pictures now, but I'm in a rush to go to work, so I'll do that later!

Congratulations on your Anduril. I know it must've been torture to wait 4 months! Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks for all the kind words. I have to admit the sword was way better than I had expected. I've only just now removed the plaque from its wrappings and I have to say it is also of
very good quality and a lot heavier than I expected. Now I just have to plan where I'm going to mount it...

Now I've been thinking about taking care of my Andúril. I have a spray can for the purpose of removing moisture from metal surfaces. Now the can doesn't say anything about stainless steel other than "protects metal surfaces from rust and oxidization."
So my question is: Can this is be used on my sword without causing damage to any of the metal parts?
